The most panes of tempered glass run through consecutively is 18 and was achieved by Mike O’Hearn (USA) on the set of ‘Lo Show dei Record’ in Rome, Italy, on 11 March 2012. This record was equalled by Mike O’Hearn (USA) on the set of ‘Guinness World Records Gone Wild!’ in Los Angeles, California, USA, on 9 July 2012.

At the USA attempt, 19 panes of tempered glass were set up for the attempt; however at one point in the attempt, Mike broke through one of the panes so forcefully that it caused the next pane to break simultaneously. Since each pane must be broken individually by being smashed through by the contestant, that pane had to be deducted from the total.
