The most runners linked to complete a 5 km race is 116 and was achieved by Team Linked Together for Hope (USA) at the Great Lakes Multisport ‘Run into the New Year’ race held in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, USA, on 31 December 2013.
The group ran tethered together by a rope threaded through a carabineer attached to each of their belts. This is the third time organiser Robin Gohsman (USA) and compatriots have set a ‘linked running’ Guinness World Records title.
