The world’s largest dental caps measure approximately 50 cm (19 in) long, 13 cm (5 in) in diameter and weigh 13 kg (28 lb) each. They were fixed onto a pair of cracked tusks belonging to Spike, a resident Asian elephant, at the Calgary Zoo, Alberta, Canada during a 3 hour 30 min operation on 4 July 2002. The stainless steel caps were designed and manufactured by the Southern Alberta Institute of Technology with metal donated by Corus Steel and adhesive by 3M (all Canada).

The largest dome igloo with an internal diameter of 9.2 m (30 ft 5.5 in) and an internal height of 5.3 m (17 ft 8 in) was constructed by ZIP ZAG.ca (Canada) in Grand Falls, NB, Canada, and was completed on 19 February 2011. 2500 ice blocks were used to make the igloo. The external measurements were 9.89m (32 ft 5.5 in) high and 5.68 m (18 ft 8 in) wide.
The largest egg beater measures 436.88 m (14 ft 4 in) tall and 1.21 m (48 in) wide. It was made by Kerras Jeffery, Prince Edward Island, Canada on 1 April 2005.
The largest garden gnome measures 7.91 m (25 ft 11 in) tall and was created by Ron Hale (Canada). It was built in 1998, but was measured for the record on 19 August 2009. The gnome was part of an amusement park that no longer exists. It is currently standing on the grounds of a petrol station. The largest grey seal colony is on Sable Island off Nova Scotia, Canada. 100,000 grey seals (Halichoerus grypus) arrive at the island every winter to breed. After 18 days the resulting pups are then left to fend for themselves. The grey seal’s name Halichoerus grypus comes from the Greek meaning ‘hook-nosed sea pig’.

The largest Hot Wheels loop-the-loop has a diameter of 2.83 m (9 ft 3 in) and was created by Kevin Wagg (Canada). It was presented and measured in Waterloo, Ontario, Canada, on 28 May 2011. It took 4 attempts to have a Hotwheels toy car traverse the loop without falling.
The largest ice hockey tournament was the Hockey Calgary 37th Annual Minor Hockey Week Tournament which was contested by 664 teams totalling 10, 922 players in Calgary, Alberta, Canada, from 5 January to 13 January 2007. 957 games were played over the week on 42 different ice sheets in 34 ice rinks across Calgary. There were 2,694 coaches and 450 referees used during this tournament.
