Largest sandal

Created in December 2003 by Nelson Jimenez Florez ,the largest sandal measures 6.6 m (21 ft 7 in) long, 2 m (6 ft 6 in) wide and 3.5 m (11 ft 5 in) high and was designed on behalf of Diseños Ruddy, Bucaramanga, Colombia. It is a perfect scaled-up representation of the original-sized sandal.

Largest sky lantern

The largest sky lantern is 11.68 m (38 ft 3 in) high, 10 m (32 ft 9 in) wide, 9.3 m (30 ft 6 in) deep, and has a volume of 1,086.24 m³ (38,360.2 ft³). Longest chorizo

The longest chorizo measured 1,917.8 m (6,291 ft 11 in) and was made by Camara de Comercio Santa Rosa de Cabal (Colombia) and measured in Parque Bolivar, Santa Rosa de Cabal, Colombia, on 5 March 2011. The event lasted more than 12 hours.

Longest line of cakes

The longest line of cakes measured 606.6 m (1,990 ft 2 in) and was achieved by Falabella and Ramo (Colombia) in Bogotá, Colombia, on 1 December 2013. The record attempt was a celebration of Falabella’s 7th anniversary in Colombia, with the cakes baked by Ramo, a popular Colombian snack food company. The line consisted of 2,022 cakes.

Longest non-stop motorcycle ride – no hands

On 25 February 2001 Manrique Saenz Cruz (Colombia) rode a Honda 125 XL motorcycle for 213 km (132 miles) non-stop without touching the road or the handlebars in a circuit around the city of Girardot. The circuit measured 6.46 km (4 miles) and Manrique went round 33 times in 3 hours 28 minutes and 7 seconds.  Manrique started at 11:15 am and ended at 2:28:07 pm. To set the record Manrique trained for approximately one year between three and four hours every day.

The most figures in a nativity village is 339 and was achieved by “El Pesebre Más Grande Del Mundo” created by Fabian Rojas (Colombia) in Cali, Colombia, on 11 January 2011 The figures were all made by hand and form part of the largest nativity village.

Most ingenious drug mule

In January 2011, it was reported that Columbian drug dealers had attempted to smuggle marijuana into a prison using a pigeon as a carrier. A 45-gramme (1.6-ounce) package was strapped to the pigeon and it was released in the direction of the Bucaramanga jail. The package, however, was too heavy for the bird, and it was found by police officers flapping on the ground near the prison. The most people opening bottles simultaneously is 4,339 and was achieved by Bavaria Sab Miller Colombia – Maltizz Product Agency Support SSA Publicidad y Mercadeo S.A. (Colombia) at the Simon Bolivar Park, Bogotá, Colombia, on 4 September 2011. The event was organised to promote the launch of a new soft drink Maltizz. 283 supervisors observed the record attempt.

Most people static cycling

The most people static cycling is 1,093 and was achieved by Bodytech (Colombia) in an event organised by Evenpro Entretenimiento in Bogotá, Colombia, on 12 May 2012. Bodytech is Colombia’s largest gym chain with over 85000 members, they invited a handful to attend this event. In total there were 1048 members and 45 instructors who were static cyling simultaneously in a 4 hour class.

Most successful counter-drug operation

The bulkiest drug seizure was 2,903 tonnes of Colombian marijuana in a 14-month-long project codenamed Operation Tiburon. The United States Coast Guard, in cooperation with Customs, the Drug Enforcement Administration and Colombian authorities conducted Operation Tiburon that resulted in record seizures.The arrest of 495 people and the seizure of 95 vessels were announced on 5 Feb 1982.
