The record for the highest air on a skateboard off a halfpipe ramp is 2.35 m (7 ft 8 in) and was achieved by Jocke Olsson (Sweden) on the set of L´Été De Tous Les Records, Argeles-Gazost, France, on 6 July 2005. The record for the highest inline skate drop into a halfpipe was 12 m 50 cm achieved by Taïg Khris during the M6 Mobile Mega Jump event in Paris (France), on 29 May 2010. For this record the distance from the top of the platform (8 meters high) to the landing surface (4.5m down the platform) was taken. The landing area was measured by white adhesive bands starting at 1 meter and then stuck every 50cm.
On a BMX, Benoit Mendiboure (France) jumped a record height of 4 m 80 cm (15 ft 9 in) using a dirt ramp on the set of L’Été De Tous Les Records in Argeles Gazost, France on 13 July 2004.

The record for the highest somersault inline skate jump into water is 3.7 m (12.13 ft) and was set by Luc Bourdin (France) on the set of L’Été De Tous Les Records in Biscarrosse, France on 1 July 2004. There was a 10 m run-up and take off was from a 1 metre quarterpipe ramp. Height was measured from the lip of the ramp to the elastic line which he had to completely clear.
The highest average speed by a train over a distance of 1,000 km (621 miles) is 306.37 km/h (190.37 mph), by a French SNCF TGV train between Calais and Marseille on 26 May 2001. The train, which was unmodified and therefore identical to Eurostar trains, covered the 1,067 km (663 miles) between the cities in 3 hours 29 minutes, reaching a maximum speed of 366 km/h (227 mph). The highest vertical wall run is 4.00 metres (13 ft 1 in) and was achieved by Erwan Suquet (France) on the set of Le Monde des Records, Paris, France, on 28 September 2009. Erwan went head to head against two other free runners but they failed to jump higher than the old record mark of 3.85 metres.
