The event was titled “0946 Guinness World Records Challenge”, where 0946 represents the area code of the City and County of Asakura. The event was held to unify the people of the Asakura City/County. The participants were of various age groups, the youngest being an elementary school 5th grader and the oldest being over 80.

The attempt was held as part of a community building event. The participants were mainly elementary school children from local schools.
