Mark Stretton (UK) drew a longbow weighing 90 kg (200 lb) to the maximum draw on an arrow of 82.5 cm (32 ½ in) at the shooting grounds of The Bath Archers, Somerset, UK on 15 August 2004. The bow was made by Bickerstaffe Bows (UK), of yew wood, backed with hickory. The arrow was made of aspen (poplar) and fired at a target approxiamately 5 yards away from the archer.
The heaviest road vehicle pulled with teeth was a double-decker bus weighing 12,360 kg (27,249.14 lbs) and was achieved by Igor Zaripov (Russia) on the set of Officially Amazing (Lion TV) in London, UK, on 15 October 2012.
The heaviest red cabbage weighed 19.05 kg (42 lb) and was grown by R. Straw of Staveley, Derbyshire, UK in 1925.
The world’s heaviest strawberry weighed 231 g (8.14 oz) and was grown by G. Andersen (UK) of Folkstone, Kent, UK in 1983.
The heaviest sumo deadlift in one hour was 54,464 kg (120,072 lb) by Nick Molloy (UK) at Esporta Health Club in Hemel Hempstead, UK, on 21 March 2011. Molloy completed 851 acceptable repetitions of a 64 kg barbell with weight plates and clips. He was witnessed by Dan Little (UK), Exercise & Lifestyle Manager of Esporta; Grant Smith (UK), a REPS Level 3 certified personal trainer, and Roger Davis (UK), a seven-time world champion across various disciplines in the International All-Round Weightlifting Association.
The heaviest weight lifted with the eye socket is 16.2 kg (35.71 lb) and was achieved by Manjit Singh (UK) at Cossigton Sports Centre in Leicester, Leicestershire, UK, on 12 September 2013. Manjit made the attempt to celebrate Guinness World Records Day 2014. The weight he lifted was made up of 12 editions of the Guinness World Records Book, including the new 2014 edition.
The greatest weight lifted with a human tongue is 12.5 kg (27 lb 8.96 oz) by Thomas Blackthorne (UK) who lifted the weight hooked through his tongue on the set of El Show Olímpico, in Mexico City, Mexico, on 1 August 2008. Below is a video of one of Thomas’s earlier attempts from 2004.
