The greatest distance on a motocross in 24 hours by an individual is 565.74 km (351.53 miles) and was achieved by Paul Oughton (UK) at Rogershill Raceway in Bere Regis, Dorset, UK, on 10-11 September 2013. Paul used a single Yamaha YZ250 for the whole attempt.
The greatest distance run by a relay team is 5,639.6 km (3,504.28 miles) and was achieved by Keep on Running (Ireland and UK) at St Colmans Sports Complex in Newry, County Down, UK, from 21 July to 8 August 2012. Sean Goodman ran 422 laps of the 400m track which equates to 168,800 m (104.9 miles) during the course of the attempt. The runners ranged from 18-80 years old.
The greatest platform jumping distance in one minute by a team is 48.32 m (158 ft 6 in) and was achieved by Cane Armitage, Cole Armitage, Scott Fidgett and Sam Parham (all UK) at Parkour Park, Chineham, Hampshire, UK, on 8 September 2010. Four members of 3RUN attempted the record. The distance between two platforms was 3.02 m.
The only male gurner to win the world title an amazing 12 times is Tommy Mattinson (UK), whose flexible face took the top prize at the annual Gurning World Championship at Egremont Crab Fair, Cumbria, UK, in 1986-87 and then 10 times between 1999 and 2010.

Alfred J. Cobb (UK) grew a cucumber weighing 12.4 kg (27 lb 5.3 oz) and presented it at the National Amateur Gardening Show’s UK National Giant Vegetables Championship at Shepton Mallet, Somerset, UK on 5 September 2003. The cucumber is a zeppelin variety. Alfie also took 2nd prize with 10.8 kg (23 lb 12.9 oz) cucumber.

Ian is a prison officer at this YOI. The heaviest machine moved using a brain control interface weighs 56.2 tonnes (61.95 tons), as demonstrated on the set of The Gadget Show, Studley (UK) on 17 March 2011. The 56.2 tonnes (61.95 tons) cranes were controlled using brainwave sensors manufacured by NeuroSky, with a control box designed by Loughborough University Design School.
