Yao Defen (China) recorded an average height of 233.3 cm (7 ft 7 in) when last documented. There is evidence that suggests Defen may still be growing, as a portion of tumour remains on her pituitary gland, the organ that regulates the production of growth hormone. She is currently too ill to be re-measured.
