By pressing a rice bowl on his abdominal muscles, Zhang Xingquan (China), was able to create enough suction to pull a 36.15 tonnes (79,700 lb) heavy train for 40 meters in Dehai City, Jilin Province, China, on 3 August 2007. The record was attempted for Zheng Da Zong Yi – Guinness World Records Special in Beijing, China. The weight of the train was: 36 tonnes (79,366 lb). Two drivers: 152 kg (335 lb).

Heaviest train carriage hauled by model locomotives

The heaviest train carriage hauled by model locomotives weighed 47 tonnes (103,617 lb). The motive power for the carriage was provided by 200 electric model locomotives Märklin BR 143, which, moving along 50 parallel rail tracks, hauled the carriage for 10 m (32 ft 9 in), at the DB-Gelände in Munich, Germany, on 21 February 2007.

The heaviest vehicle pulled by a sword swallower is 1,696.44 kg (3,740 lbs) and was achieved by Ryan Stock (Canada) for the television programme Guinea Pig in Las Vegas, Nevada, USA, on 28 October 2008. The vehicle pulled was a 2002 Audi A4. It was pulled 6.38 m (20 ft 11 in) in 20.53 seconds. The sword swallowed was 43.18 cm long (17 in) and 2 cm wide (3/4 in). Danny Girton Jr. adjudicated.

The heaviest turnip weighed 17.7 kg (39 lb 3 oz) and was grown by Scott and Mardie Robb (both USA) who presented it the Alaska State Fair, Palmer, USA on 1 September 2004. The variety is a Mammoth Purple Top Turnip (Brassica rupa).

Heaviest vehicle pulled by hair

The heaviest vehicle pulled by the hair alone was a truck weighing 9,385 kg (20,690 lb) by Ajit Kumar Singh (India) in Nawada, Bihar, India, on 21 September 2010. Singh was only required to pull the vehicle 5 m (16 ft 5 in), but finished in pulling it a distance of 55 m (60.15 yd). Singh could not get enough forward momentum going in his first attempt and had to start over, but was able to pull the truck without incident on his second attempt.

A 70 m² (750 ft²) traction kite manufractured by KiteShip Corporation (USA) pulled a 25 tonne (55,115 lb) Americas Cup Class yacht at a speed around 7 knots (13 km/h or 8 mph) for 45 mins in Auckland Harbour, New Zealand, on 17 December 2004. A traction kite is similar to the aerofoil kites flown by kite enthusiasts, only far larger.
