India is the world’s most prolific film-making nation, with approximately 800 to 1,000 feature films being produced each year by the ‘Bollywood’ film industry based in Mumbai. This is roughly double the number of films produced by Hollywood each year. In 2009, a total of 1,288 films were produced in India, in 24 different languages. By contrast, Hollywood produced 606 feature films during 2008 – an all-time record for the American film industry.
The largest animated mobile phone mosaic consists of 400 smartphones and was achieved by China Unicom, Sohu IT and HTC (all China), using China Unicom’s WCDMA HSPA+ network, as part of the inaugural China Smart Device Games at the National Olympic Sports Centre in Beijing, China, on 13 July 2013. The record was achieved as part of the inaugural China Smart Device Games. The smartphones used in the mosaic were all HTC Ones, and they played a minute long advert for China Unicom’s 3G services

The largest animal sculpture in the shape of a cow was created by Milka (Germany) measuring 14.18 m (46 ft 6 in) tall, 11.77 m (38 ft 7 in) wide and 21.24 m (69 ft 8 in) long in Berlin, Germany on 11 November 2007.
The animal orchestra with the most members is the 12-piece Thai Elephant Orchestra at the Thai Elephant Conservation Centre, Lampang, Thailand. The orchestra was founded by Richard Lair and David Soldier (both USA) in 2000, with the aim of conserving the Asiatic elephant species. The elephants, aged between 7-18, improvise their own music on a variety of percussion and wind instruments. Their music is now commercially available on their 13-track CD, and a second, Elephonic Rhapsodies, (produced by the Mulatta label) will soon be released.

The largest ant farm habitat is 1.2 m (3 ft 11 in) height x 0.9 m (2 ft 11 in) width and 0.08 m (3 in) depth, achieved by Colgate Palmolive Ltd in Singapore, Singapore, on 28 December 2008. The habitat was used as a promotion for Colgate Anti Cavity toothpaste. Bus shelter ad was set up by BusAds of Singapore with special gel manufactured in China. The largest arancino weighed 20.205 kg (44 lb 0.54 oz) and was made by Amalia Bucurei, Francesco Giuseppe Trovato and Gastronomia Aurora (all Italy), in Linguaglossa, Italy, on 24 September 2011. The ingredients used to make the arancino were: rice (cooked in stock and onion) , tomato sauce with meat and peas, flower, water, breadcrumbs, eggs, salt and pepper.

The longest appendix measured 26 cm (10.24 in) when it was removed from 72-year-old Safranco August (Croatia) during an autopsy at the Ljudevit Jurak University Department of Pathology, Zagreb, Croatia, on 26 August 2006. Ivana Pavic performed the autopsy and Alma Dubravic attended.
