The longest series of published travel guides is the ‘Rurubu’ series which, as at 2 November 2010, consisted of 3791 editions. Rurubu has been published continuously by JTB Publishing (Japan) since August 1984. Rurubu began modestly, publishing four editions in 1984. It expanded rapidly and was publishing more than 100 titles a year by 1993.
Since making his debut in Jeevan Naiya in 1936, Ashok Kumar, affectionately known as Dadamoni, has been acting continuously for 63 years. A three-time winner of the Filmfare Best Actor award, his most famous role was in Kismet (1943), which in real terms is the highest-grossing Indian film of all time. Although no longer a lead actor, Ashok continues to play character roles and to make appearances on TV.

The longest body percussion chain involved 525 participants and was achieved by Beatrix College (Netherlands) led by Jan Ophius (Netherlands) at the Dongewijk Sports Hall in Tilburg, Netherlands, on 13 December 2013. Three different styles of body percussion were performed in succession for over five minutes. The participants were arranged in a conga-style line.
The longest board slide on a skateboard is 30.62 m (100 ft 5.75 in) by Rob Dyrdek (USA) on MTV’s The Rob & Big Show in Los Angeles, California, USA on 17 September 2007.
The longest piece of wood cut from one tree measured 45.15 m (148 ft 1 in) and was cut by Emil Wunsch (Germany) in an event organized by Turnverein Gausbach in Gausbach, Germany, between 23 and 27 July 2010. Emil had 9 helpers who helped him saw the board. They used chainsaws and a specially designed machine.
The longest BMX back flip measured 18.94 m (62 ft 2 in) and was completed by Mike Escamilla (“Rooftop”) off the Mega Ramp at X Games 11 in Los Angeles, California, USA on August 3, 2005. The jump was performed outside of competition and was not a medaled event.
The longest bra chain consisted of 166,625 bras, measured 163.77 km (101.7 miles) and was created by Citizens Who Care group, (Australia) at the Bundaberg Show Grounds, Australia, on 9 August 2009. The record attempt was in aid of highlighting the awareness of breast cancer and raise money to support the charity.
The Danyang-Kunshan Grand Bridge, on the Jinghu High-Speed Railway (aka Beijing–Shanghai High-Speed Railway) is 164 km (102 miles) long. This new line (open from June 2011) also crosses the 114-km (70.8-mile) Langfang–Qingxian viaduct, the second longest bridge in the world.
The longest breakdance hand wave involved 7,014 participants and was achieved by Nana Mizuki fan club S.C. NANA NET (Japan) at the Tokyo Big Site, Tokyo, Japan, on 21 November 2009. Nana Mizuki is a Japanese pop singer and voice actress. Her fan club members tried three record attempts at the concert. For this record attempt, 7,014 people in the audience successfully completed the hand wave.
