The longest marble run measures 1,286.61 m (4,221.16 ft) and was achieved students of Swinburne University of Technology (Australia), in Hawthorn, Victoria, Australia, on 4 August 2013. Nine students spent a month building the huge marble run in the highest building on campus, starting at the top and ending on the bottom floor. The marble took 10 minutes to complete the run.

The Arctic tern (Sterna paradisaea) migrates the greatest distance of any bird species, breeding north of the Arctic circle and then flying south to the Antarctic for the northern winter and back again, a round trip of approximately 80,467 km (50,000 miles). The longest timed Mexican wave lasted 6 min 54 sec in an event organized by West Coast Waves (Australia) at the WA Basketball Centre in Floreat, Australia, on 4 November 2011. Approximately 300 people participated.
