The mug was made by Yoo Long Kim Kee Gold Store, Bangkok, Thailand and given away as part of a promotional offer for NesCafé in Thailand. It weighed 1,092.5 grams.

The record for the most expensive painting sold by a living artist belongs to Jasper Johns (USA) whose False Start (1959), was bought privately by Kenneth (USA) and Anne Griffin (France) for $80 million (£42 million) in October 2006. The auction record also belongs to Johns whose Figure 4 (1959) sold for $17.4 million (£8.7 million) at Christie’s, New York, USA on 16 May 2007.
The most expensive omelette commercially available is the Zillion Dollar Lobster Frittata which costs $1,000 (£528.90) and is featured on the menu at Norma’s restaurant, Le Parker Meridien Hotel, New York, USA. The frittata contains 10 oz (280 g) caviar and approximately 1 lb (0.45 kg) lobster which is covered with egg on a bed of fried potatoes. Le Parker Meridien also feature a smaller, less expensive version called the ‘regular frittata’ that costs $100 (£54).
The most expensive ticket in Olympic history is £2,012 ($3,250) for the Opening Ceremony of the Summer Olympics held in London in 2012. Tickets are priced in four bands for the ceremony on 27 July, 2012, with the other prices at £1,600 ($2,586), £995 ($1,608), £150 ($242), £20.12 ($35).
The most expensive logo produced for an Olympic games is the 2012 London Summer Olympics logo, which cost £400,000 ($645,645) to design. The logo was produced by brand consultants Wolff Olins (UK) and paid for by private money. The logo was launched to public disapproval in June 2007, however it was described as edgy, dynamic and vibrant by Games organizers.

Sunday Times journalist Paul Eddy (UK) was reported to have been paid $2.8 million (£1.7 million) for his first novel Flint and its unwritten (at that time) sequel by British and American publishers in 1999. The crime thriller is about an undercover policewoman called Grace Flint. Although Eddy has published several non-fiction books, Flint was the investigative reporter’s first venture into fiction.
