Talbot is a long-standing Hollywood actor, with appearances in movies including The Sleepless (1997) and Mr. Saturday Night (1992), starring Billy Crystal.

Madeline Albrecht was employed at the Hill Top Research Laboratories in Cincinatti, Ohio, USA, a testing lab for products by Dr. Scholl. She worked there for 15 years and had to smell literally thousands of feet and armpits during her career. She has sniffed approximately 5,600 feet and an indeterminate number of armpits.

On 1 February 2003, the space shuttle Columbia was lost with all seven crew during re-entry into Earth´s atmosphere after a successful 15-day mission in orbit. The resulting investigation determined that a piece of insulating foam from the external fuel tank had impacted the leading edge of a wing during launch. Most fatalities during launch

On 28 January 1986, the space shuttle Challenger was destroyed during launch due to hot gases from a solid rocket booster escaping in a breach and causing the external fuel tank, containing liquid oxygen and hydrogen, to explode catastrophically. All seven crew, Francis ‘Dick’ Scobee, Michael J Smith, Ellison Onizuka, Judith Resnick, Ronald McNair, Sharon Christa McAuliffe and Gregory Jarvis (all USA), were killed during the disaster.

The hardiest dog is Dosha, of mixed-breed, who, on 15 April 2003 at the age of 10 months old, slipped out of her owner’s home in Clearlake, California, USA, only to be run over by a car, then shot in the head by police officers (wanting to put her out of pain), and then sealed in a bag and placed in the freezer at an animal centre; she was discovered, two hours later by staff – alive and sitting upright!
