The fastest swim relay 100 x 400 m by a mixed team was 9 hr 2 min 32 sec by members of SSV Ulm 1846 (Germany) in their club pool in Ulm, Germany, on 10 July 2010. Participants ranged in age from 11 to 57 years old and the average time to complete 400 m was 5 min 25 sec. By comparison, the world record in the 400 m freestyle long course is 3 min 40.07 sec.
The fastest time for a relay team of 100 (50 men and 50 women) each swimming 1,000 m is 22 hr 48 min 43.10 sec at Volkspark, Dortmund, Germany, on 2-3 September 2006
