The longest drawing measured 9,154 m (30,032 ft 9 in) and was created by 7,200 participants from Elite Charitable Trust (India) in Coimbatore, India, on 19 August 2009. The title of the drawing was Gateway 2009. The theme of the artwork was Awareness on Social Issues. It took them 4 hr 3 m to complete the drawing.

Longest dosa

The longest dosa measured 11.64 m (38 ft 2.4 in) and was achieved by the Vijayawada Hotel Owners Association in Vijayawada, Andhra Pradesh, India, on 9 April 2011. The dosa was made from black gram (lentils), boiled rice, raw rice, refined flour, rice flour, salt and water. It took approximately 10 hours to prepare the batter for the dosa, which was cooked with hot oil on a specially made griddle plate by 30 chefs selected from the hotels of the Vijayawada Hotel Owners Association. Longest film shot on a single camera

The longest uncut film is ‘Agadam’ (India, 2012) which has a running time of 2 hr 3 min 30 sec (excluding opening and end credits) and was produced by Last Bench Boys Productions (India) and directed by Mohamad Issack Zackria (India), in Chennai, India, on 7 December 2012. The film premiere took place on 7 April 2013 at the AVM Studios Preview Theatre in Chennai. Filming took place at night, in Maran Garden in Chennai. Longest hand woven sheet of silk

The longest hand woven sheet of silk is 1,455.3 m (4,774.6 ft) and was made by Dr Abhijit Baruah (India), with the help of Jorhat Great Run Club, and presented at India Gate in New Delhi, India, on 8 April 2012. The mammoth length of silk took 11 people six months to complete and featured traditional Assamese designs.

Longest lesson attended

Kathiravan M Pethi and 36 students (all India) took part in a lesson about Ghandhi’s Vision and Mission in Life that lasted 78 hours and 3 minutes. The lesson took place at the Association of Physicians of India, Bangalore, India, from 31 October to 3 November 2008.

Longest liquid ribbon

The longest liquid ribbon measured 130 cm (4 ft 3 in) and was achieved by Manish Jain (India) on the set of Guinness World Records – Ab India Todega in Mumbai, India, on 22 March 2011. Manish Jain attempted this record on his sons first birthday.
