Largest snow sculpture

The largest snow sculpture, entitled ‘Romantic Feelings’ measured 35 m (115 ft) tall and 200 m (656 ft) long when it was created as part of the annual Harbin International Ice and Snow Sculpture Festival, which opened in the Heilongjiang Province, China, on 20 December 2007. A team of 600 sculptors from 40 different countries used 3,398 m³ (120,000 ft³) of snow to create the Olympic-themed landscape, which included a French cathedral, an ice maiden and a Russian church.

Largest snow cone

The largest snow cone weighs 11.38 tons (25,080 lbs) and was created by Bahama Buck’s Original Shaved Ice Company (USA) in Lubbock, Texas, USA, on 10 December 2011. The flavour of the snow cone was “Birthday Cake”.

Largest smoothie

The largest smoothie contained 2,300 litres (607.6 US gal) and was prepared by Dry July (Australia) at Circular Quay in Sydney, New South Wales, Australia, on 30 June 2014. To make the giant smoothie, the recipe included 3000 bananas, 750 litres Chobani blueberry yoghurt, 530 litres Beyond Coconut Water, 30 litres V8 purple carrot concentrate & 610 litres water, and 9 litres of NatureFirst Organic raw honey. Largest soda siphon

The largest soda siphon measured 1.21 m (3 ft 11.5 in) high 30.8 cm (12 in) in diameter, and contained 42.6 litres (75 pints) of water. It was made by Aqua-Plastech Kft, Hajdúsámson, Hungary, in April 2004 to celebrate the 175th anniversary of soda water.

Largest soda float

The record for the world’s largest soda float was one of 13,638 litres (3,000 gal) made by Coca-Cola at the World of Coca-Cola Museum in Atlanta, Georgia, USA, on 25 May 2007. The float comprised 12,956 litres (2,850 gal) of Vanilla Coke and 7,200 scoops of ice cream, which was pumped into a 15 ft tall glass.

Largest sock

The largest sock measures 9.93 m (32 ft 7 in) x 6.86 m (22 ft 6 in) x 2.49 m (8 ft 2 in) and was created by Project Undercover, Inc. (USA). It was unveiled at the Rhode Island Convention Center in Providence, Rhode Island, USA, on 2 December 2011. Largest snowball fight

The largest snowball fight was achieved by 5,834 participants at an event organized by Seattle Snow Day (USA) at Seattle Center, Washington, USA, on 12 January 2013. Each participant threw at least one snowball during the attempt, with proceeds benefiting the Boys and Girls Clubs of Seattle.

Largest song and dance routine – single location

The largest song and dance routine was achieved by 4,500 participants at an event organised by the Sports, Youth & Cultural Activities Department of the Government of Gujarat (India) at Sardar Patel Stadium, in Ahmedabad, Gujarat, India, on 1 May 2011. The performance was part of the 50th anniversary celebration of the state of Gujarat which was themed around the five elements.

Largest solar telescope

The largest solar telescope is the McMath-Pierce solar telescope which opened in 1962 atop Kitt Peak in Arizona, USA. Light from the sun is collected via a 152 m long (498 ft) slanted shaft,, which directs sunlight on to a 1.6 m (5 ft 3 in) mirror, 50 m (164 ft) below ground. It forms an 85 cm (33 in) wide high-resolution image of the sun.
