The fastest time to erect a four man tent is 2 minutes and 7 seconds and was achieved by Dillon Livingston, Thomas Watkins, Roy A. Edwards, Katie Olivier, Rose Hircock, John Logan, Des Woodcock, Elizabeth Jones, Joanna Charlton (all UK) and Olga Iljuscenko(Lithuania) at the Mary Ward House in Camden, London, UK on 1 July 2011. The tent used was not a pop up tent, as per the guidelines. The attempt was done indoors with sods of grass for the pegs to be pushed into.
The flight was made solo, with no support aircraft or other pilot to share flying duties. The route was from Shoreham across Europe and Russia, into Alaska via the Bering Strait, then down the Rockies into the US before heading back north to the UK across the North Sea via Iceland and the Faroe Islands.
